Picking a private university in Dakar comes down to three checks: is the programme accredited, what does a full year really cost, and does the degree lead anywhere. Campuses are spread between Plateau, Point E, Mermoz, Almadies, Ouakam and now Diamniadio, and quality varies a lot. Accreditation comes first

A private higher education institution must be authorised by the ministry in charge of higher education, and each of its programmes must then be approved and accredited by ANAQ-Sup, the national quality assurance authority.
